#30 - Mr. Zipperman - you spoke at a YCPT meeting on Jan 8, 2022 and you said the following: “I am not a politician. I am not a professional at this. I have a good skill set that I can apply to it. I tried working as a PC, a Precinct Committeeman. I wasn’t able to accomplish a lot of the things I thought maybe getting involved would allow me to do. I’m not the kind of person to sit back and do nothing. I wanna impact my world and fix some of these things that are wrong. So I went from that, to being a State Committeeman. That didn’t do any good either. Then I became the 1st Vice Chair of the Yavapai County Republican Party. I wasn’t able to effectuate the changes that I thought were necessary there either. And now, I’m looking at it and saying ‘how can I make a difference?"
You said you were unable to “effectuate change” in the party positions you served. As only one of 30 State Senators, how would you "effectuate change"?
- #31 - Mr. Bennett - there have been several bills recently where you voted against the majority of Republicans and effectively “rolled the Caucus”. For example, there was the vehicle/road tax bill… Rumors are flying around that you are a democrat posing as a Republican, or that you are trying to buy democrat votes. Will you please address these accusations and explain your stance on the bill in question.
- #32 - Are there any legislative solutions to the crisis at the southern border? And if so, what would you do?
- #33 - What do think about the AZ freedom caucus?
- #34 - State Bureaucracies are introducing regulations without legislative consent, effectively usurping the Senates' power. What would you do to restrict this abuse?
