Thank you Linda. It’s amazing the tactics being employed these days. It’s genuinely shameful that the Left would stoop to this level. It’s our job to expose them.
Being on the Golden Ticket does NOT mean the Yavapai GOP thinks the candidate is conservative. It only means that the candidate is a registered Republican. The party is constrained by the State party bylaws which state that County/LD parties and Precinct Committeemen shall treat all Republicans “fairly” – the interpretation of which is that the party cannot show favoritism to any Republican over any other Republican in a contested race, whether it be partisan or non-partisan, primary or general.
Thanks for clarifying Jana. Unfortunately, without a proper (and allowable) vetting program, we will continue to have moderates and infiltrating posers. The rules need to be changed!!! Another major frustration with the GOP!
I wish our local committee could have a Republican caucus and supply a forum with Q&A in front of all the PC’s (maybe at an early quarterly meeting). The attending PC’s could determine who are the most qualified of all conservative candidates running and vote on who they feel would represent the party the best for however many seats are up for election (in my case here, 3). The other candidates would need to concede and support the ones who are the best representatives. Then, everyone could put their support on only those candidates and stop the risk of splitting the vote (in this case 5 “republicans” running for 3 positions)
and giving the win to the candidates who don’t seem to be the most qualified. I know if we had done that and other candidates did better than I did, I would drop out and not expect my party to support my bid. That doesn’t happen and we seem to lose over and over.
Thank you for continuing to sound the alarm on the so-called “Republicans” and others running for PUSD that are happily receiving the endorsements of organizations that do not align with our values as a conservative community!!
